Non-Invasive Fat Reduction
CoolSculpting™ is a non-invasive, liposuction alternative that offers fat reduction without surgery. This natural and effective treatment works best on small areas of fat that don’t warrant a surgical procedure.
How does CoolSculpting™ work?
CoolSculpting™ uses a precisely controlled cooling method called Cryolipolysis™ to target, cool, and eliminate fat cells without damage to the surrounding tissue. After a 1 hour treatment the fat cells will crystalize and the body will break down these cells and naturally eliminate them over the next 2 – 4 months. Fat reduction will vary from patient to patient but can be upwards of 20% in the targeted area. A second treatment may be warranted in some situations and reduce fat further.
What areas can be treated?
Specific areas to be treated are decided on an individual basis during consultation, but the common ones are the upper and lower abdomen, love handles, inner or outer thighs, and/or bra line fat.

What can be expected during treatment?
After this evaluation the device will be positioned on the area. The CoolSculpting™ device then draws up the bulge between two cooling panels. You will feel a firm tug as the device is positioned to ensure the selected tissue will be efficiently cooled. You can sit or lay down during the procedure and patients report being very comfortable. Some people work on their laptops or read, alternatively you could get a spa treatment such as a facial or just relax.

What can be expected after treatment?
Since CoolSculpting™ is non-invasive you can return to normal activities immediately after the procedure although some patients may experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, or numbness in the treated area, but these are temporary.
When can you see results?
You may see changes as quickly as three weeks after the treatment, but will experience the most dramatic results after two months and your body will continue to flush fat cells for up to four months.
