The EXELO2 was designed for Fractionated Ablative Skin Resurfacing.   Results are similar to other CO2 resurfacing lasers although the downtime and discomfort are significantly less with this new technology. The EXELO2 treatment also stimulates collagen formation over time, so not only you get the immediate resurfacing results that improve skin texture you also get the continued impact of new collagen growth.

How long does the procedure take?

A full face treatment is regularly completed in under 30 minutes. Prior to treatment the skin is prepped and a numbing cream is applied. Plan on being in the office for 1 1/2 hours.

How long is the Recovery?

Generally 3 to 5 days are needed before you can resume your normal activities. Some higher intensity treatments may require a little longer recovery period. It is important to avoid direct sun exposure for a few days.

What does it feel like?

A topical anesthetic is applied before the procedure and most people feel only a slight stinging as the micro-ablation zones are created. After the treatment most patients feel and look like they have a sunburn.  Any discomfort typically stops within 2 to 4 hours.

When can I apply my makeup?

Once the micro-ablation sites heal, makeup can be applied normally. This usually occurs the 3rd or 4th day.

What areas of my body can be treated?

The EXELO2 is excellent for treating many areas of the body including the Face, Neck, Décolleté, Stretch Marks, and the back of the Hands. Other areas may be treated as well and would be determined during consultation with Dr. Goldman.
