At Dr. Goldman’s Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa, we are proud to offer breast augmentation procedures that cause minimal pain and recovery time for our patients. As this is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the nation, we are able to use industry-developed advanced techniques for incredible results.

Getting Started

To make certain your augmentation aligns with your goals for a particular feel and aesthetic, we discuss a few things beforehand, including:

  • Implant size
  • Type of implant material
  • Implant placement relative to the muscle and breast tissue
  • Incision site
  • Implant height
  • Texture of the implant
  • Implant shape
  • And more…

In addition to holding impressive credentials and having extensive experience, Dr. Goldman cares deeply for his patients and strives to provide the results they seek. To him, this isn’t just about getting a new look – it’s about increased confidence and a better overall quality of life. To find out more about our breast augmentations check out this page.

The Procedure

We utilize rapid recovery techniques for breast augmentation at Beachwood Plastic Surgery and Westlake Plastic Surgery. This is achieved by using precise dissection in surgery with a gentle treatment of the tissues to minimize trauma. Our patients are also encouraged to engage in early motion immediately after surgery, including arm stretching exercises and walking. All patients engage in light activity, like walking, after surgery, and some go out to dinner or shopping the night of surgery.

Various terms are used to refer to rapid recovery techniques, including quick recovery, rapid recovery breast augmentation, fast recovery, flash recovery breast augmentation, weekend augmentation, and “pain-free” augmentation. All these terms refer to the same basic techniques.

Why Rapid Recovery?

Without a doubt, the health and safety of our patients is the top priority. However, we also recognize how busy our patients are, and want to offer an experience that demands as little time as possible. That’s why we implement techniques that focus on gentle precision, and encourage post-operative activity that spurs healing.

You can feel reassured thanks to Dr. Goldman’s double Board Certification in Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. As an active member in numerous major plastic surgery medical societies, including the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, he is always up to date on the latest, most trusted techniques.

Possible Complications

As with any surgery, some potential for complication does exist. Bleeding, infection and poor reactions to anesthesia are among these. With breast augmentation specifically, infection can mean temporary removal of the implant so that the patient may heal fully.

Patients should be aware that breast implants are not lifetime devices and can leak over time, which is not a health concern but does limit the life of the implant. Generally, implants will require replacement at some point in the patient’s lifetime.

After Care

It is important to emphasize that there is wide variability in terms of postoperative pain from any surgical procedure, and there will always be some discomfort associated with placing an implant. But many of our patients use only Tylenol after surgery and most use narcotics only intermittently for 3-4 days. Very few of our patients have postoperative bruising. Most return to work in less than a week.

Dr. Goldman uses the latest and most gentle breast augmentation techniques to allow his patients who desire a rapid recovery to resume normal activities in as short a time frame as possible.
